This is "parkrun", a global free community 5K fun run. This video shows the mass start, about 100 people this time, and each registered finisher for 2 seconds as they near/cross the line. It's an ongoing experiment; because the lens is an unusually wide angle, it's hard to anticipate the impact of the sun. In fact, the technique would work better with a good video camera and a telephoto lens, but I'm waiting for someone else to provide the equipment...
A short video of Bruce Ridge in Canberra. It's very different from the Sydney bush; much drier, with much less ground cover, and a much less dense canopy. These are bike tracks for the mountain bike fraternity (and yes, I only saw one woman rider). They make for pretty comfortable single track running - this is much smoother under foot than Manly Dam or even Wolli Creek.
